I’m Fehmida Rasool, a Clinical Psychologist based in Lahore. My work brings together clinical practice, psychological assessment, community mental health, research, teaching, and professional training.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with people across different ages, circumstances, and communities. These experiences have shaped how I approach psychological care: with curiosity, respect, and an understanding that every person brings a different story into the room.

Beyond the therapy room

Alongside my clinical work, I work as a Research Associate at the Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab. My professional work has also included community mental-health projects, awareness initiatives, clinical supervision, teaching, and training emerging psychologists.

Clinical & community experience

My work has included collaborations and community-based projects with the University of the Punjab, Jinnah Burn Centre, Médecins du Monde, Depilex Smile Again Foundation, and Noreen Zafar Foundation.

Working across clinical and community settings has strengthened my belief that psychological care should extend beyond the therapy room — into families, communities, educational spaces, and places where people are already seeking understanding and support.

What guides my work

Mental health care is a human right, not a privilege. I believe psychological care should be understandable, respectful, culturally responsive, and as accessible as possible.

Why Dar-e-Aghae

Dar-e-Aghae grew from this belief: that seeking psychological support should not require you to already know what is wrong, have the right words, or feel that your difficulties are “serious enough.” Sometimes, understanding is the first step.

This is the kind of space I hope Dar-e-Aghae can offer — a place where you can arrive as you are, be heard without judgement, and begin to understand what you need next.
